How to update and publicize your blog

1. Make your blog look at least 4 months old. Put 3,4,5 and 10 posts for the last 3 months and this month respectively.

2. Once you' ve put all the posts you need to add basic widgets to it
2.a. Go to Alexa.com and scroll down for the widget (or Ctrl + F should do the trick). Add your blog url (in full) and get the second Alexa ranking widget. Paste the code in your blog.

2.b. Make your homepage as your blog url.

2.c. Go to mybloglog.com and log-in with your Yahoo ID. Add your blog, and get their recent visitor's widget.

2.d. Go to blogcatalog.com and create a new user. Add the recent reader widget in your blog.

2.e. Go to statcounter.com and add a new page counter.
2.f. Go to entrecard.com and register. Get the drop box in your blog.
2.g. Put a cbox


3. Once done, you have to index it in search engines. For that

3.a. Create RSS Feed by logging into feedburner.com and create your feed (for free!!!). Show it up in your blog.

3.b. Go to these sites and put the url of individual posts in the toolbar and submit it. This is very useful.

4. Digg your blog by logging in to digg.com

4.a. Add all your posts to the web directory. You cannot upload more than 10 today. So upload the rest tomorrow.
