OK THATS IT !!! I AM NOW GOING TO GIVE YOU ALL THE MOST DETAILED METHOD OF INSTALLATION :
1) Once you have downloaded "Call of Duty 4 - Skullptura", open the .RAR file with WINRAR 3.71. Remember, Use only WINRAR 3.71, nothing else!

2) Extract it to a folder that you create on your own. Dont extract to the default location told by WINRAR. If you DONT do so, you will have thousands of image files and various other useless stuff

3) Once you have extracted it,( NOW IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART WHERE MOST OF YOU GO WRONG)click on setup.bat. THIS IS IMPORTANT - THIS PROCESS WILL TAKE A LOOOOOOONG TIME, SO WAIT !! DO NOT CLOSE THE APPLICATION UNTIL IT IS DONE. IT WILL STAY AT 1 % FOR AGES, SO BE PATIENT !!!!! THIS REBUILDING PROCESS NORMALLY TAKES AROUND 1 TO 2 HOURS.

4)IF YOU CLOSE THE APPLICATION BEFORE IT IS DONE, YOU CANNOT RUN THE SAME APPLICATION (Setup.bat) AGAIN !!! IT WILL GIVE THE ERROR "CANNOT FIND FILE SPECIFIED". If by mistake you have done so, you need to extract the files again to another location and then run the new "Setup.bat". This time.......WAIT. If you are bored , go watch TV or something ,while its doing the job

5)Once it is done, you must be able to see 2 new icons on your desktop. If you get the error "UNABLE TO FIND "d3dx9_34.dll" when you run COD 4, read step 6 carefully !!!

6) If you get that error, now, go to this link

There you can DIRECTLY download a .rar file which contains that d3dx9_34.dll

7) Once you have downloaded it (the .rar file) , you must EXTRACT the files to SAME FOLDER OR LOCATION where you extracted Call of Duty 4.

What Skull did here was repackage the .iwd files so that this RiP would get a nice 2.5GB size. But the game does not accept the repackaged files!

After you install skull's rip (i suggest installing in safe mode), you got to find the ORIGINAL .iwd files from the Call of Duty 4 DVD.

Go to the folder you installed tha game and in the "main" folder you will see several files like "iw_00.iwd" "iw_01.iwd" etc

We need the following files from the original Call of Duty IV DVD
"iw_06.iwd"
"iw_07.iwd"
"iw_08.iwd"
"iw_09.iwd"
"iw_10.iwd"
"iw_11.iwd"

After Installing the Patches you need 1.5 SP & MP Cracks. Get them from this torrent:

To crack, simply paste 'iw3mp.exe' and 'iw3sp.exe' into your installation directory overwriting the existing files.

PunkBuster enabled multiplayer servers blacklist some of the keys from Razor1911's KeyGen. Just carry on regenerating, it can be hit and miss. To avoid this disable PunkBuster.


To change the key for an existing installation open the Registry Editor [Run -> regedit) and navigate to:

Now CoD 4 is in the list! Click on the CoD 4 icon and then click "Check for Updates". PLEASE WAIT A BIT FOR PunkBuster to update your PB Version. After updating it will say "Successfully updated or something like that. Click OK and quit PB Setup.
