Blogging after a long time

Hello friends,
It has truly been a very long time since I had been blogging. I used to blog almost every day, in fact, more than 10 posts every week. Time has changed, and I haven't gotten as many free time over the past 10 months or so. It has indeed been a tough time for me moving to a different country, and then city hopping and earning a lot of knowledge and experience. It is the time for me to share my innumerable experience, of staying away from my home country for the first time in my life, and meeting new people throughout.

To start off I'll give a brief overview of my recent past. I moved in to Canada, on August 28th 2008 for doing my graduate studies in Engineering. The city was Vancouver that welcomed me with a big smile, although I had trouble keeping myself together. I missed by important documents at the airport itself and it took me a month to get them back. At last, I found Vancouver to be my second home. Time passed by very fast, and I was quick enough to react to the fast paced and unpredictable economy.

Since I applied for an internship at Toronto, I had an opportunity to come here. The best part is that, it is one of my dream companies, in which I've gotten myself into. I have been working on the field of computer engineering for more than 3 years now, and IBM was the best option I had. I have started my work here, and I have gained countless experience moving with people from different culture, which I'll be sharing in this blog...

The best profiling tool for routing , tcp, udp and other network related stuff is under study. Initially I thought it would be like socket programming in general. But it is no way related to programming. The concept of profiling does not relate to programming , design, experimenting and other issues, but comes much later. It does stuff which include performance evaluation and modeling the future architecture of the sought after design.


It will be helpful if you have u heard of gprof. It is a performance tool which shows you how much of the resource is used, in case of a program which you write. The
gprof is a profiling tool for a gcc compiler based codes (c , c++) that tells you which piece of code runs for the longest time. By using this profiler, you can ascertain the probable hot spots in your code and hence fine tune your part of the code, that is buggy and make the entire software run faster.

2) Extract it to a folder that you create on your own. Dont extract to the default location told by WINRAR. If you DONT do so, you will have thousands of image files and various other useless stuff

3) Once you have extracted it,( NOW IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART WHERE MOST OF YOU GO WRONG)click on setup.bat. THIS IS IMPORTANT - THIS PROCESS WILL TAKE A LOOOOOOONG TIME, SO WAIT !! DO NOT CLOSE THE APPLICATION UNTIL IT IS DONE. IT WILL STAY AT 1 % FOR AGES, SO BE PATIENT !!!!! THIS REBUILDING PROCESS NORMALLY TAKES AROUND 1 TO 2 HOURS.

What Skull did here was repackage the .iwd files so that this RiP would get a nice 2.5GB size. But the game does not accept the repackaged files!

After you install skull's rip (i suggest installing in safe mode), you got to find the ORIGINAL .iwd files from the Call of Duty 4 DVD.

Go to the folder you installed tha game and in the "main" folder you will see several files like "iw_00.iwd" "iw_01.iwd" etc
