Once upon a time with Alcohol

The main culprit for making the people tend towards smuggling alcohol and drugs in general is the movie industry, for most of the crime that occurred during the 1970s to 1990s were inspired by some mafia movies or criminal movies. Even today people get moved by the acting skills of the veteran actors who played crimelord in such old movies and want to be like them no matter how.

A perfect example is Robert De Niro acted movie Once Upon a time in America in which the hero smuggles drugs and alcohol so as to make his living. The movie situated upon the early America during the 1920s when David "Noodles" struggles to survive because of poverty right from being a small kid in a ghetto located in Brooklyn. He goes on committing one crime after another, for the sake of keeping himself alive and to survive in the harsh conditions.

Is this what people like, and get inspired from. More than inspiring the law-abiding citizens, these movies tend to inspire the criminals and wannabe-criminals to achieve their dreams. Right from those days, crime has been a part and parcel of America, which is very hard to control by any means.

The Bold move against Tobacco

The uprising against smoking tobacco or consuming it in any edible form to totally eradicate the usage among the common people has been there for quite a long time in various parts of the world, notably in India. Particularly Dr. Anbumani Ramdoss had been fervent in curbing the habit of smoking and the problems it spurns over time. His contributions in eradicating smoking is known to many people and have started their own agenda to prevent the smoking evil.

There are numerous harmful effects of smoking which are listed here. There is every chance that an offspring of chain smoker will be born with congenital heart defects. And in the case of women there is every chance of miscarriage for smoking women. Also, nicotine in large amonts damages the brain nerves and the bypass surgeries done for heart patients might not last for more than two years. There is every chance for new blocks to occur in the heart.

Tobacco can also cause paralysis and strokes causing severe problems other than that, which will off-shoot from the primary evil. And the person is pushed to an immmovable object. Infact, his kidneys get affected and the person finally dies a tragic death. Even there are many euthanasia cases due to this. What more can one suffer because of this evil. So stay safe, and stay away from tobacco

Pripyat the Ghost City

I have been playing Call of Duty for the past one week, and mind it, its one of the best games with an amazing plot to start with in recent times. Apart from the master of games, the one and only Hideo Kojima's creation Metal Gear Solid series no other game has ever captivated me so much as Call of Duty 4. I was moved by the plight of the entire city which was evacuated post Chernobyl explosion.

We all know about Chernobyl and find it amazing to talk about it continuously, but the actual victim because of the mishap in the control room was another city called Pripyat, Ukraine. This city which is commonly referred these days as a ghost town full of radiation pockets was once the most peaceful city, some 20 years back when I was born it had almost everything that a ultra-modern city should have.

But all of a sudden, one dull night every person's dream has been shattered and the entire city was evacuated within 3 hours, and the people didn't even know that they cannot return to their homes ( at least for another 600 years)!!!

Such is the intensity of explosion that had occured as a result of Nuclear fuels. That could destroy even a highly advanced city(in those standards) which had top-notch architects designing its blue prints.

What could happen if the same disaster surfaces elsewhere.. in India.. in Tamil Nadu !!!

The nuclear warhead missile

No matter how long we talk about Peace among countries and the safety of people which is at stake because of the increasing arms developments and the race towards a super(destructive)power of the world. I recently read an article on a nuclear ballistic missile which is called as the M51 SLBM or simply M51.

I couldn't force myself from thinking about the words of President Bush, that war can bring about peace, and the race for arms is to not use them. These words are just the outcome from the mouth, which can be trained to speak in which ever way we need it to. But this particular word from a person with such a power in the international level, is totally demeaning to his position and also lets the stake of the nation in mere shambles.

I feel this way because of the fact that this M51 or 52 or what ever crap they design has a nuclear warhead and carried in the navy. So, safely the countries owning the missiles be at the safe place when it can cause considerable destruction to the enemy nations. Every stage engine of the missile M51 derives from the propellant boosters of Ariane 5. So, naturally the impact is so bad that I don't know where this un-ceasing wars and firearm race will lead the world to

The easy money...

I have played games which involve money and how to earn it. Not only that, there were games in which money is spent like water, even though I consider water is even more precious these days. A perfect example of a game is Mafia Boss which is played online by millions of users. In this game, everyone take turns in creating a whole lot of crime underboss and thugs and hitmen so as to provide support and kill enemies. The money spent on them is huge, and you cannot imagine someone spending so much for a killing.

There are cases in which you require to transport your men from one place to another, and hijack planes or steal cars from the garage, which requires your men to be happy. For this, or in fact to just keep your men happy, you require tonnes and tonnes of coke, weed and of course girls. You can get money so fast that you cannot even think about an alternate way by allowing your girls to earn cash for you. You can sell of the drugs you make illegally and obtain an enormous profit out of it. All these are intertwined in real life.

A general mafia family, has a Boss, a Conceirge who is his secondary in command apart from having some Underbosses who are trained to be the future boss, of the same of different clan. Finally comes the Soldiers or the Thugs who are hired by the crime lord for undertaking their business. Every person need enough arms so as to protect themselves from their opponents. So, in essence everything needs a lot of money. And the only way to get it is through drugs. I feel its a great disgrace to mankind that people spend on wasteful means throughout their lifetime.

Scarface - The Scar on Earth's face

Once again, in this movie called Scarface which obviously talks about a person who is totally rude and barbaric from the name of the movie itself. It is also related to drugs mafia and firearms. I find it almost hard to digest the fact that people like such act because there is a particular forum available for discussing the best mafia and crime-lord movies. Soon people will be interested in starting a forum for the best terrorists around and start praising them a lot.

This movie of course concentrates on a Cuban small time criminal who has an ambition to make more profits and more money which makes him come to America. But lucky for him, e comes there at the time when Cuba had already sent a lot of such people to Miami. So, with all the support from the government and his will power, he settles down at Miami and has his own plans to get a job and work somewhere or anywhere so he'll get some more money than he used to get for washing dishes. He goes on to discovers an incredible potential of money and power in trading and dealing with drug, which makes him think to start a small drug empire around him.

Al Pacino is the other person whom we are talking about in this section who has inspired many criminals into drug dealing and squandering money. Thanks to him.
